Leave Room In Your Garden

I have one more magical card to share with you from the A Magical Day release.  This card was inspired by my fellow DT member and dear friend Cheri. A couple of weeks ago Cheri posted an acetate front card - you can see her card here. I haven't done one for awhile so I decided to try one again using this sweet Butterfly Fairy.

I coloured the stamp with alcohol markers and fussy cut it leaving a thin white edge. I love glittery wings on my fairies so some Crystal Stickles were perfect and she is popped up using foam pop dots.
Next, I held my breath and did some ink blending right on the inside of my card base - yes I held my breath and hoped I didn't mess anything up!
Next I cut out my fence, grass, clouds and flowers using dies and created the base for my front and added a piece of acetate. Again holding my breath, I added my sentiment to the inside of my card using my Misti - love my Misti!
Some gumdrops finish off my card.

Coffee......

Anyone who knows me, knows I love my coffee. I am morning person......after my coffee and for me there is nothing like the first coffee of the day.

I decided to share my love for coffee by making a card to participate in the Your Next Stamp Sketch and Colour Challenge #87

Sketch

I decided on a square card layout and used the coffee rings stamp to include the "circle" portion of the sketch.
After choosing my stamp I coloured it with alcohol markers and cut it out with the matching die. I set it aside, cut my patterned paper and added some coffee rings as my interpretation of the sketch.
The sentiment is stamped on a fish tail banner die and all the paper edges inked to match. Some sparkly gumdrops finish off my card.

Fairy Garden Magic

This week my card features the Fairy Garden and Twinkle Fairy from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

I have heard you have to be very, very quiet and pull the plants back slowly and if you're lucky, very lucky you will see a magical garden. I chose to put my garden behind a circle cut out to mimic that.

Both of these stamps are coloured with alcohol markers and the fairy is hand fussy cut. I added some sparkle to her wings with Stickles and to some of the flowers in the garden. I wanted to keep my paper on the more subtle side to keep the focus on this beautiful garden and fairy. Some branches and sparkle gumdrops finish off my card.

Doggie Ice Cream

Welcome back to a new Anything Goes Challenge at Whimsy Stamps.

My card features the oh so cute Doggie Ice Cream by Crissy Armstrong. I love this stamp! It combines two of my favourite things - dogs and ice cream.

I have 5 nephews so I can never have too many masculine Birthday cards in my stash. It helps that a few of them like dogs, this will be the perfect card for one of them.

I printed my stamp, coloured it with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and cut it out using a Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles die and a stitched border die. I used a mix of digital and traditional patterned papers to create my card base. The sentiment was stamped and cut out using a label die. Some twine and photo corners finish off my card.

Dragon Pals Welcome

I'm not sure why but from the moment I saw the Dragon Pals stamp from the new A Magical Day release I thought new baby card.

I also wanted to think outside the box when it came to my colour choices for something different and fun so I coloured these cuties in a green and orange colour combo.

After colouring my stamp with alcohol markers I hand fussy cut it the wing tip and tail so I could fit my circle die underneath to do a partial die cut.  I added some pink Spectrum Sparkle pen to the butterfly wings - it's a little hard to see. Next I grabbed a cloud die cut and my baby blue ink and formed my clouds. I added some pale grey under their feet....maybe next time I would use green - hindsight is always the best isn't it?!
Patterned paper from Photo Play had a perfect combination for the base of my card. Some Prima flowers, ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.

No Peeking!

This weekend, Mother Nature has decided to grace us with her presence again in the form of snow and cold weather so I decided it is the perfect day to make a Christmas card!

I played along with the sketch challenge for Bazzill Basic Paper that I found on their Facebook page. The sketch was perfect for this peeking reindeer and now I can say I have my first Christmas card done for this year - yay me!

The Sketch courtesy of Freshly Made Sketches

I coloured my stamps with alcohol markers, hand fussy cut them and added some silver to the bows and dots on the presents. After cutting my card base from Bazzill cardstock I also ran some of my white through a snowflake embossing folder and cut a fun edge.
Plaid Christmas paper was added for fun along with a die cut sentiment and sparkle enamel dots and gumdrops to finish it off.

Just Chillin'

Sometimes all you need is to chill with your friends! That is what this fun trio of gnomes from the A Magical Day release are doing.

I chose to get in touch with my CAS (clean and simple) side this week as I really wanted these cuties to be the focus of my card.

After colouring my stamp with alcohol markers I hand fussy cut it and set it aside. Next I grabbed my inkss, ink blender, heart stencil and ink blended the heart for my background. Out came my Misti and the sentiment was stamped in the perfect spot. I assembled my card base and added the gnome friends with foam pop dots. Some purple grape jelly gumdrops finish off my CAS layout.

You Did It!

The year is flying by and if you have a child graduating this year life will soon be full of dress and suit shopping!

The new Penguin Graduation digital stamp paired with a Graduation digital sentiment is perfect for congratulating your graduate! I decided to make my card with a feminine feel to it for something a little different.

After sizing, printing and colouring my stamp with alcohol markers, I hand fussy cut it and went around the edge with a black marker to clean up any white edges that were left.  I chose some some feminine papers including some lined paper and added a letter edge to with a die. Graduation day is the perfect photo opportunity day too so I added a film strip die for fun. Some enamel dots finish off my card.
